    66 Fan Shroud Revisited

In talking with a couple of others about my 66 fan shroud one more question comes up. My 66 judging manual clearly states that it should be semi-gloss black. Another member with a 67 states that his judging manual calls for natural fiberglass, varying in color from dark grey to black. My judging manual is 6 years old. Is there really a difference between the 66 and 67 or is my 66 judging manual out of date? Do any of you have a newer or more current manual?

    Thank you, Gary

            Re: 1967 327 shrouds

Being that other member - tell me - is mine correct?

Winter 1997 manual states 1967 327 shroud natural fiberglass "varying in color from dark grey to black." Unfortunately did have to paint mine semi-gloss.

            ...which is "correct"?

Gary, there has been alot of conversation on fan shrouds on the judging field. The replys you have recieved are correct for 99% of the cars. I have seen 66 cars that appear to be original (under all that grunge) that had unpainted shrouds. I'm telling you this just out of interest.
