Carter AFB question

I recently purchased a Carter AFB on Ebay. It is a 3720SB, A5. I wanted a second carb, similar to the one on my car, that I could disassemble and fiddle with to learn more about carbs.

Based on the numbers it should be for an 327/300 Auto. car, correct.? The only thing is that the carb has a electric choke.

So, was the 3720 offered with an electric choke, or was this changed from Mech Choke to electric? Is it possible to switch from electric back to mechanical.?

Hot air choke was the only one used originally on the 3720

So, on this Carb someone has just swapped the hot air choke for an electric choke. It's just a simple swap for the complete choke housing.

Probably it's just the plastic part with the bi=metal spring that was switched, the Chevrolet carbs, such as the 3720 took the ho air in directly in the center of the bakelite piece that retains the bi=metallic spring.
