I have searched through my shop manuals and cannot find the CFM rating of the Carter AFB Model 3721 carburator. Can anyone with a more extensive library help? Thanks.

Re: Carter Carburator CFM Rating
Mark, In the Carter carb tuning manual it shows that the AFB's in the early 60's ran in a range of 450 to 625cfm. The book that I am refering to stated that Carter did not flow rate those carbs during the earlier years, however the numbers listed were based on venturi and throttle bore. Lastly it states that Chevrolet had a unit that flowed 625cfm that was quite popular for a number of years but it doesn't list the year range.
I am not sure if this refers to the 65 model that you are talking about but I hope others with more info can fill in the blanks. Hope this helps - Eric- Top

Re: Carter Carburator CFM Rating
Mark- I have a book on Carter Carburetors that I got thru the NCRS Library. On page 11, it lists the 3721 as 575 CFM, along with corresponding venturi sizes etc. Cheers-- Top
