65 body drop

I am about to drop the body back on the chassis and hope that others have some suggestions as to the best way to do this. I used the 8 guys and a case of beer afterward method to take it off but I would like a more controlled method to put it back on. I sure would hate to mess up my new paint job. I'm not sure I want to do the nylon strap method with a hoist either. How about some kind of mechanical lift? I am sure lots of you have been through this and I would appreciate all suggestions

I Think the most controlled method is to find someone who has a two post lift, picking the body by the birdcage troughs, (rockers) is extremely stable although side to side adjustment while dropping the body can be a pain. Short of this the body lift strap and a picker capable of handling the weight is not a problem especially if it is a convertible. Pad the lift strap with moving pads if you are concerned and have a good guy on the cylinder release valve, have done my share by this method

I have an inexpensive, simple method that requires no outside help for one person to drop the body on the frame taking as much time as you feel is needed. Just email me and I'll send the photos of the pipe gig and setup.
