    C1 Voltage Regulators

While I search for a correctly dated 1119002 voltage regulator for my 300 HP 1962 (mandatory NCRS content), I need a currently available voltage regulator that'll work with my 35 amp "2174" generator. Does anyone know the current GM or Delco part number for the replacement voltage regulator?

    Chris,
The current replacement for the 1119002E Delco regulator is a Delco 1119168.
I have one on my C-1 and it too uses a "2174" generator rated at 35 amp.

    Regards,
    Donald #31176

PS there was a 9002E on Ebay yesterday.Dont know if it met the reserve.

I have a generic repalcement on my 62 which cost about $30 and is almost identical in appearance to the original. Available at almost any auto parts store.

That's it! That's what I'm looking for! What is it? Part number? Brand? Store?

Chris, Apparently I have fibbed to you. I went and checked the 62 and found a Delco regulator on it. I still have the box and it is part # 119168. The box has a Corvette Central sticker on it, so apparently I got it there. The CC # is 591033.

HOWEVER, the regulator on the 61 I had prior to the 62 was a generic regulator as I described. I bought it from the auto electric shop where I got the generator rewound. Cost about $30-35. It was close enough in physical appearance that I could have taken the cover off the old regulator and put it on the new one.

I would try NAPA. I'm pretty sure they carry regulators and their electrical products are a little better quality than some of teh other places. If you have an auto electric place handy, it is a pretty sure bet they will have one on the shelf.
