68/69 Tail pipe bezel location?

The 68-72 "Fact" Book has an excellant picture of the exhaust bezel location on the 68 (page 7) but not so good on the 69 (page 72). Can anyone tell me if the location is the same for both models? Is there an aftermarket panel available, with the cutout? If someone was able to e-mail me a good 69 close-up of one side or the other, it would sure be appreciated. My car was originally a muffler car. When the pipes and mufflers went, the owner had the sidepipe panel installed and the balance of the bezel hole, sealed up. He said he didn't want to see the muffler and tailpipe. Go Figure??? Thanks, jackdr

1968 and 1969 exhaust bezel location is exactly the same.

And half of the opening is in the fender and the other half is in the rear panel.

Yes, the half in the rear panel is easy to duplicate (with a replacement panel). The half in the rear fender not so easy to duplicate.
