    68 Corvette Block

Could you please look at these three photos and tell me if this
engine block for a 1968 Corvette looks authentic.

Casting Number Picture: Is it correct to have the Casting Block number
attached to the block as a plate with pins as it appears in this picture?
Isn't the number normaly cast right in the block like the GM?

Engine Code Picture: Shouldn't the Boss be orange with the engine code
stamped on it? Does it look like this Boss has been filed down and
    possibly restamped?

Head Number Picture: I have no idea if this is correct for a 68 Corvette.

Thanks to all that offer comments!

The casting numbers are not held on with the pins, it looks cast. Don't have a clue to the pins but they look like they were added later. The stamp pad should be free of paint, but it looks like someone sanded or wire wheeled it clead, not good.
