Dealing with the hood pant line on a 1960. In this case it is a black car. Should the paint brake be at the very edge of the hood as if it where painted with the hood closed, on the inside corner of the hood jam as the trunk and boot lid are, or oversprayed with body color or with black out? Also I would think that the line should not be a taped hard line but rather a soft fuzzy line. Any input would be a help.

Re: C1 HOOD PAINT
I believe the paint break is at the tangent point where the angled surface of the hood inner panel meets the flat surface, like the top compartment lid and the trunk lid paint break, and it was taped (except across the front).- Top

Re: C1 HOOD PAINT
At the factory, they didn't use masking tape, they used a mask. With the hood propped open, they draped the mask over the top and sides of the hood, with the break line coming as John indicated. The result is a black paint break along the top and sides, but black continues right off the bottom (lower front) of the hood. The lines are not crisp tape lines, but tend to be slightly fuzzy.- Top
