Has anyone ever used a new press molded hood for a C1? I wanted to know how close to the originals they are. Thanks, Joe #37862

Joe; I bought the first one that Shimmershine put out. It look great in every way. The car went to Bloomington and after that I started driving the car. The next year the hood wabbled out in the center, I called Mr. Shimmershine and he said I PROBABLY had the car on fire. Well that was not so. I talked to Jerry Kone latter about this issue and he said I'am not the only that has complained. MR. Shimmersine told me to take a hike and would do nothing about it. It's been 10 year's now and the hood has not gotten any worse but if I run across a real nice used one, I'll get this piece of trash off my car. john
