63 frame stencil numbers

Ok, I was just about to paint my new frame part number stencil on when I checked some disassembly photos which had a view of the old stencil, original location. The new stencil which I got from Corvette Central has the part # 3819263 as the upper number and the lower number is the one that ends in -14. I know they go on upside down, but it seems the repro stencil has the numbers reversed (top to bottom). Has anyone noticed that? Where both sets of numbers done at the factory at the same time, or were there 2 different stencils?

I know this sounds confusing, but when I look at my original photos, the new stencil has the top set of numbers reversed with the bottom set. Do any judges know to look at this or can either way be acceptable.

I have recently had a similiar experience on a 67 frame. The judging manual numbers were different than what I found on my frame. I asked this forum what should I follow.... Well, if it came from the factory with a different number configuration than the judging manual and you have photos to prove it then stick with your photos. Obviously there were many variations of the numbers throughout a year. About the only thing that was consistent is the numbers are inverted when the frame is sitting on the wheels.
