Spent the weekend at Amelia Island and despite the crappy weather - the GRAND SPORTS were AWESOME! 1953 #65 was there, as well as the Mako Shark, the special 1965 fuel injected car made for Bill Mitchell, the SS racer, as well as several other special Vettes.
Jim Hall, Delmo Johnson, Bobby Unser and some of the other racing legends from Corvette, Porsche, Chapparral (sp?) and many of the other racing cars were on hand to talk about the cars. There was a film crew from Time-Warner under the guise of 50th Corvette Aniversary Special (something like that) who were interviewing all of the drivers and talking about the Grand Sports. Supposedly, the interviews will be aired on SPEED in the future leading up to the caravn to Bowling Green.
