    Powerglide linkage

I am looking for others that have C1 powerglide cars that can tell me the appearance of their kickdown linkage. The judging guide states that the entire linkage is cad plated. The original on on my 60 had the links at each end plated, but the bellcrank assy that bolts to the rear of the block was most decidedly not plated. I have been told that my car must be an exception and not the rule, but I have another 60 linkage and a 59 linkage in my posession that both appear the same.
I would like to hear from others as to the finish on the bellcrank assy that bolts to the rear of the block on their cars.

    P.S.

Obviously, I am only looking for responses on post-57 cars since earlier cars used a different linkage.

I have a 62, raw metal with some rust. Had a 60 bellcrank in my part's collection never looked like it had and ounce of paint on it. The rod's were cad. john

          Thanks Guys,
That pretty much mirrors what I saw on all of mine. The only thing that I had a hard time determining was whether the bellcrank was raw or painted. It gets so much grease on it over the years that it is hard to tell if you are just wiping the grease off or paint as well. None of mine had any rust like I would expect if it was not painted, but all of them came from the rust-free southwest and were encrusted with grease. Keep on replying to this if you have a PG car, as I am looking for a large enough sample to prove that this was the way they were built.

I checked my 1960 last night and the linkage is not cad plated, unpainted cast iron.
