    Stainless verses Steel Brake/Fuel lines

I was just wondering if I were to use stainless lines if that would be cause for a deduction in points? If so then does anyone have a suggestion on preserving steel lines so that they maintain their new appearance?

    Greg-----

The use of stainless steel fuel and/or brake lines does, I believe, result in a points deduction. New, stock-type TBW (tinned bundy weld) lines will retain their original or near-original appearance for many years unless the car is driven in winter conditions in harsh environments.

There is a standard dedution of 50% on all stainless fuel lines, brake lines, mufflers, pipes etc.
