C1 IGNITION LOCK

I am attempting to remove the ignition from my dash cluster. The bezel will unthread to the ignition lock and then bottoms out on the lock. It won't come apart. Thanks for the help. Joe DeLuca #37862

Put the key in the slot, take a paper clip and insert it into the tiny hole on the face of the lock. Push the paper clip in as you turn the key to the left. Pushing the paper clip in will eventually release the lock cylinder and it will pop out. You may have to wiggle the key as you are pushing the paper clip in. I have trouble with this every time I remove the lock cylinder from my 1960. When you finally hold your mouth right, wiggle the key, and hold the clip in, it will fall out with ease. Good luck.
