    oil pressure guage

I removed my oil pressure guage with the instrament panel still in the car, a 1967 convt. BB, with not much trouble. My question, does anyone know where I can get a picture of a 65-67 oil guage that shows how the inside of the guage should be laid out. There is what looks like a brass tube that is connected to some linkage which is in turn connected to the dial indicator. Any help would be appreaciated. Thanks Phil Anderson P.S. I tried to start the engine for the first time and the oil pump bypass valve was stuck and pegged the guage beyond 60# and now it won't return to 0#.

    Re: oil pressure guage

Judging from your description, the brass tube has been deformed. If you (gently) bend it to re-zero the gauge you should be all right. It may not read correctly as an absolute measure, but it likely will be close enough.
