Is there a correct way to route the oil pipe that runs from the firewall to it's fitting on the back of my 991 '56 block? The AIM shows it coming out around the spark plug wire bracket from the firewall grommet and then in front of the accelerator linkage. It just doesn't look right. One of you guys out there with an unrestored '56 or '57 should be able to help. Thanks!

Gary, I can't say my car is unrestored in this respect, but mine, and others I am familiar with, route the tube out the hole adjacent to (and outboard from) the ignition resistor, downward, inboard of the accelerator lever, and below the wiper motor, in almost a direct route. Hope this helps.
