I just wiped down my interior with a "PLEDGE" product. My question is - Is it now, tooooooo nice for judging?
Black interior was very clean, but just tired looking. Need to know, so I can correct if it is going to cost me points, as I have never had a car judged or even been to a NCRS function.
The only "overdone" appearance that most of us don't like is the shiny look of Armorall or similar products. Vinyl originally did have a little shine, so I doubt yours is too nice.
When I bought my 71 the interior was pretty dirty just from being old. I used Simple Green to clean it, and Vinylex protectant after that.

You should be OK. The usual problem with too shiny interior vinyl comes from Armorall type products. I understand from people who know more about these things than I that Pledge is what they use. Just about all the other products leave that fake-too-shiny look.
