    Glue for new mirror???

    I just purchased a new mirror (the glass only) for my rear-view mirror. Any idea of what adhesive I should use that will not damage the mirror lamination?

      For what it's worth...

      I had the outside mirror on my '55 replated 15 years ago, and since I lacked the tool to crimp in the replacement glass, I glued it in with ordinary silicone seal. Still looks perfect.

              Pete, do not use an acid curing silicone, it will eat away at the back of the mirror.Joe DeLuca #37862
