Re: 99 on a Battery Charger and Noise
doc sounds like you battery has bought the farm. never let a battery go completely dead, just charge the battery every 3/4 weeks or buy a "battery tender". always pull the key from the ignition in a C-5 because the computer will not go to sleep with the key in and the battery will go dead quick. check to make sure that your battery is not leaking at the terminals as GM had some leakers and it will eat up your computer which is under the battery. my C-5s hold the charge for 4 weeks while mrs clem and i take in the races at daytona.- Top

Re: 99 on a Battery Charger and Noise
Don't know if this could be the problem, but there are instructions for charging this new type of battery on the Corvette Forum Kens page and on a post by his parts mgr. Something about not charging the battery with 10 amps or less and a limited charging time using a conventional charger.- Top

Re: 99 on a Battery Charger and Noise
Sounds like the battery has an internal short.
If you bought the right beer, I'd come up and test it for you this Sunday. I may even have a spare battery.
And make sure Pasta is there.
And email me directions.
Geoff, call me. We're out of beer here.

Re: 99 on a Battery Charger and Noise
Al,
Pasta is coming over now for the weekly Poopiehead Tech Information and Non-Judging Session. We have been on a Wine binge since the last Falls L-89 Tech Session. You are welcome too. Exit 53 off Merrit. Call from commuter lot or as you get near exit. All I have is a case of Heine and 3 bottles of Red Wine.
We will be in the garage drinking and maybe working.
