    67 Parking Brake

Is the black plastic parking brake slider supposed to to be "broken" in the middle of the opening to facilitate instalation over the handle? Or did my new one arrive broken

    Donald-----

Your new one is fine. The originals as well as SERVICE replacements all have the "slit". Actually, without the slit, I think that the seal would be impossible to install.

      Donald/Joe:
Actually, a little known fact is that the split in the reproduction sliders for 67 parking brake units is on the drivers side whereas the original sliders have the split on the passenger side....and I've seen this judged at a Regional meet. Best regards,
      Rick.
