I need some advice on the removal / reinstallation of manual window regulator. The only parts left in the door are the front post and the regulator. I'm trying to get the regulator out through the larger rear inspection hole but I can't get it past the riveted in sheet metal verticle support in the area of the front post using reasonable force. Seems to be a lack of space between the support and the inner door panel. ST-12 basically says, "take out the screws and remove the regulator". Before I do something I'll be sorry about , I'd appreciate some guidance from someone who has done this.

Re: 62 Window Regulator
John--
What I have found is that you have to have the regulator adjusted in such a way that the plate with the teeth on the outer edge is oriented correctly with the long arm so that the mechanism will come through the center support at the correct angle while the arm has enough clearance to allow the mechanism to clear. You try it--if it doesn't work, you get it back sort of in place, put your crank handle on, change the angle (crank the "window" up or down), and try it again. Good luck!!

Re: 62 Window Regulator
John,
You will find it a lot eaiser to remove if you remove the lower brace that attaches to the post bottom. This brace functions to adjust the in-out position of the door post top, and is removed with 3 bolts from inside the door. There is a lot of room once this brace is removed.
