Re: THANK YOU
John, my car was the blue 73 L-82 coupe in front of the main entrance to the dealership showroom. As a matter of hind sight, it was the only 73 there.
So many people were there, and I wish I could have talked with more of them as to whom , where, what, etc. But, in having my car judged and this being my first outting, I stayed pretty close to the car. Sorry I missed you.
I am coming back for my Top Flight ASAP----I was borderline Top Flight / Second Flight with it so it won't take much to get there. Please take the time to say hello if you see me wandering aimlessly about.
CHEERS,
GREGG- Top

Next Step....
With a 'strong' 2nd Flight award you now have two alternatives on getting that Top Flight award for your car:
(1) You can go down the 'punch' list of items in your score sheet and initiate a game plan to improve upon your restoration/preservation effort and invest more time and $$$ as well as have the fun of ferretting out those elusive parts and assy techniques.
(2) You can STOP dead in your tracks and not spend another dime.... You simply put gas in the tank and DRIVE the car far enough to another NCRS meet to let your milage driven bonus credit achieve the Top Flight award for you.
At this point, the ball's in your court. But, you do NOT have to believe it'll take the GDP to move up the ladder with your car! NCRS is the only Corvette factory concours organization that allows owner participation to influence the scoring outcome....- Top

Re: Next Step....
Thanks Jack for your valued input. Some of my big hitter's will cost me nothing at all, and some, will be a pennies worth. Add a little dilengence, time and effort on my part and PRESTO it should Flight. I am not famaliar with your use of the acronym GDP,is that " given driving points" ?- Top

Re: Next Step....
Greg,
I think Jack meant Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Meaning, you don't have to pour lots-o-dough into getting your score up to top flight range. Although, given the cost of gasoline these days, those driving points will cost a little more than they used to.
