Everyone has been so helpful in here over the last 2 1/2 years that I have been restoring this '56. Especially Mr. John Waggoner. Thanks John for keeping my passwords stright. The '56 is almost there. "sigh" Now I need your help and advise. Soft top only. I believe that all 3 colors are an option. White, Black and Tan. I do live in CA and it gets hot here. This should not make a difference of color though. Anyone have a stock '56 air conditioner?? LOL OK, your opinion counts here. Judges, and Restoriers. What color would you pick? What would stand out? Oh, the Vette is Black with the Silver coves. Majority win's on this one. I have votes from my resotation shop and Body Shop. Now it is your turn then I will tally them up. Oh, course, the wife gets the final say. HA!! Thanks everyone for your wonderful assistance and help in this project. Could not have done it with out you all. BB

-------Geez,,,,,I dont know.I appreciate what Mike says about blackwalls, but a white top always makes a black fossil look so clean and pure.Besides a 56/57 looks best with Halibrand kidneybean knockoffs!Every one knows that,Mike!!!!!........Bill S- Top

Re: Need your voltes for soft top cover
Yo Bud...
Had Black/Silver/Red '57 for quite a while. When purchased, it had a white top. I replaced it with a black one for reasons not worth explaining. In any case, I really think the car looked better w/the white canvas. However, and this makes it easy, - I like 'em better w/the top down or with a hardtop in place. If you go with this option, you don't even need to install the canvas - only buy a $2500 hardtop. AND, your car will be faster in the 1/4 mile if you follow my advice rather than that of member #14.
Best, DC- Top

Re: Black....and Halibrand KO's
I vote for all black too. That's the way my '59 was born. White top and white walls would be ok if it is a powerglide. I also vote for the Hals with a good set of black radials for daily driving and cruises.
