C2: Steering knuckle casting number help

Does anyone know the casting number that is embossed on the steering knuckle for a '66? When I say steering knuckle, I may be using the wrong term, but I'm referring to the approx. 10.5" long part with 4 holes in it that connects the tie rod end to the brake caliper support. On my original knuckle I can guess that the first 5 digits of the casting number are 38175. I'm guessing that there are 1 or 2 additional digits of the casting number that have rusted away.

The parts that you are referring to are the steering arms. I think that the forging numbers on the 63-67 arms were 3817593 and 3817594. However, I'm not completely certain of this. I'd appreciate any confirmation that others might be able to provide.

In the case of these arms, the forging numbers are not the same as the part number. That's because, in SERVICE, the arms were supplied with an aluminum rivet to "seal" the unused tie rod position for power steering equipped cars. So, the SERVICE part number was the part number for the arm + rivet. After 1968 and until these arms were discontinued from SERVICE in 1982, the 68 forgings, GM #3928651 and 3928652 were used to make the 63-67 steering arms.
