    horn on 1972

My horn does not work. I have tilt and tele.I traced everthing to the steering column. I took my steering column apart. There seems to be something missing ,like a spring or something to make contact between the brass contacts on the turn signal cam and the insulated horn contact on the back side of the hub. There has to be something like a spring because of the tete. Can anyone shed some light on this problem.
    Thanks
    Marvin

    Re: horn on 1972

Get a copy of Dr Rebuild's catalog. He does one of the BEST jobs of giving an exploded view of the various steering columns as well as providing individual repair parts. The horn ring/contact components are unique to the T/T column.

In the exploded view, you'll see the horn contact (B) has a 'leg' on it that's spring connected to the horn brush (L) which makes contact with the lower horn contact (M).
