A/C hose and muffler assembly GM #3998438 is a Corvette-only part. It was used in PRODUCTION for 1972 Corvettes with small block engine. In 1972 it also became the SERVICE replacement part for 1968-71 Corvettes with small block.As far as I can tell, it has no other applications. Several years ago, it was discontinued and replaced by GM #12529015 which has now also been discontinued.

I know how you feel, as I had my 71 judged the first time ,and with one big point awarded for driving to the meet I recieved a top flight award of 94.6. I recieved my judging sheets and fixed everything I could (especially OPs), took it to the next regional and recieved another top flight with 95.8. I fixed everything new on the sheets etc. etc. I recieved four top flights all with different scores and new stuff to do every time. This is how it works.
