'62 T10 Transmission

For a car with a 12/20/61 build date, what do you think of a T10 transmission with a 12/18/61 side cover date, and a 12/15/61 tail shaft? Would that be possible?

Possible, maybe... But I'd be inclined to keep looking. They're out there and not as hard to find as you might think. Guess I'd feel better with a 2 to 3 week headstart on the transmission cast dates.

Dennis is right (It's hard to admit that). The dates are too tight--possible, but very improbable.

If you are not buying the T10 I could use it for my Jan build date 62. Is the price right? I would take any condition just for the case.

Chris, is the date on the tail SHAFT, or the tail HOUSING?

Sorry, tail shaft housing. That jobby that looks like a strip they cast in.
