    C3 VCL SOURCE

    Can anyone here put me in touch with someone who can furnish me with a authentic and/or NCRS passable "vehicle certification label" for my 73 coupe?

    If you mean the blue one in the door, no. I have yet to see one that is 100% correct. The other problem is getting a typewriter to match the one used 30 years ago by GM.

    Some are sold on eBay, often about $20 or so. It may be as good as it gets.

      You need to see and take pictures of a 73 original label and see if the ones on ebay are close to a match and buy one. The weights are different as to body and options and I will help with that as I have some data on 73's. Then you need to type the info. on your label and install it . Their was someone ln Hemmings doing this but it was not very correct and more like what one can do with any typewriter.

        I have my blue label on my car. I am the original owner of a 72 coupe.
        I will get you the weight data, whatever is on it as soon as my shop of horrors
        finishs my car. They called last Friday to say they installed the heat core
        but had a problem.
        My car's interior caught fire while in their service bay.
        Supposedly car was not turned on at the time.
        I saw the damage that morning and it doesn't appear to bad.
        Melted the duck work in the middle dash area.
        Shop said it's not their fault, due to a short in the car.
        I am awaiting the insurance collectors agent adjuster to see car and call me.
        My car was recently flight judged 92.9, with 12 points off when vacuum line fell
        off during op-check. They forgot to erase deduction after hose was attached.
        If anyone has any insurance suggestions on how to handle shop owner's denile
        of his carelessness, please send comments or e-mail

        My car has all documents/diary of all repairs since new.
        Car has had only 766 miles on it in past 21years.
        Current mileage is 73.292.
        Original paint and now powerery interior.
        Car was blasted with halon power.
        QUESTION--What is best way to clean off power...I can't touch it until adjuster ses it later this week.

            Halon is a gas, and leaves no residue; they hit it with a "B-C" dry chemical extinguisher.
