1986 convertible

I have a 86 convertible, vin # 1G1YY6788G5903593. I need to replace the top but the color ,Saddle, is no longer stocked by GM ( black and white are all that are available ). GM does stock tops for later made cars in the same model (C4) but can my car be upgraded to accept the later year tops. Could I put on a top with a glass rear light (window, an option on 1991 corvettes, GM still stocks these parts)? Do you have any information or know who would . I am trying to get an answer from GM but I haven't gotten it yet. Any help would be appreciated Louis B

Yes, there are retro fit kits to put on later year tops with the glass windows. Look in catalogs like Mid-America, Ecklers etc. You need to purchase the top and retro fit kit, it isn't cheap.
