    Yo yo Dennis -
    I am now sitting in the driver's seat of my car. And guess what? The lock position and orientation are exactly as you describe. Same for pass. side - the arm is straight down for lock, and pointed rearward for unlock. I should have visited the car rather than the Owners Manual! You da man,
