    68 C3 wiring question

    Hi Guys,
I'm installing the inst. cluster, and I've discovered that the connector marked w/s wiper solenoid (B/Brn) was attached to the fuel gauge. The connector for the fuel gauge, as per the lectric schematic, should be Pink/Tan. This was hanging in space. My questions
    1. Is the B/Brn pair for the w/s/wiper solenoid, and if so, what does the connection at the solenoid look like. The AIM is not too clear. Can I make this connection without removing the drivers side dash?
    2. I also have either a cap, or a resistor on the back of the cluster. If this is for supression, what device is it supressing, and what is the connection scheme.
    Thanx
    Ed
    PS
Has anyone had any contradictory information from the lectric wiring diagram?
Their ignition harness has a different color code for a few connections then the diagram, so I'm not sure if the info relative to the inst. cluster is correct on the diagram. Any insights?

W/S/W solenoid mounts to the back of the tach and should be shown in your AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) as well as discussed in the '68 CSM (Chassis Service Manual) under windshield wipers, wiper door.

Capacitors are used in MANY locations to suppress radio interference from electrical subassemblies that (1) surge current during turn-on/turn-off, (2) broadcast radio frequency interference during their operation, and (3) conduct RFI along the power grid during their operation. What's put where in terms of capacitors to thwart RFI is typically 'lumped' in the radio option section of your AIM, toward the back, U69 since you 'could' purchase a Corvette without radio and then the factory would save $$$ by not installing these radio support components.
