I need to replace the turn signal cancel switch on my "56. I have heard from two different owners that the repro switches are a joke. Is this true? I will hold out for an NOS or at least a good used original if I must. If there is a good repro and could someone let me know which one is the best?

these switches were available from the general as recently as 5-7 years ago. got mine from an AC Delco warehouse then . try local delco dealer before going with repro, best of luck, mike -

I have used several repo switches in the past couple of years, 3 or 4 that can think of. No problems with any of them. The repo cancel cams seem a bit more fragile than the originals, but again I have installed a couple of these in the recent past and the performance was satisfactory.Comment

People selling classic chevy parts have NOS for around $25.00, Classic Corvettes or E-Bay $50.00 and up and up and up.Comment

Just so that you will know, the 53-4 pass car COMPLETE turn signal assembly is the same as 53-62 Vette-----------------------except pass car knob is black.Comment
