    leading on the frame?

I was checking the archives on frame painting. Jack Humphry mentioned this term in a posting on June 16,1999.

What is this? Is it filling in pot marks on a frame with lead prior to painting? If so, how is this done?

What was that....take a nafta blow torch, pump it up then get a lead bar and melt it into panels. Then file/sand it down to shape it and get rid of all the lead bumps.

Would this be a way of filling in rust pot marks on a frame? Does anybody actually still do this? Wouldn't it be easier to use bondo?

      Just curious.
