I need to purchase a master cylinder rebuild kit for a non-power break 1965, casting # 2225032. NAPA list a kit for 1963 to 1965 Corvette, casting # 2225032 with a 7/8" bore. The JG list the cylinder as a 1" bore. Could some one please clarify?
I hope I'm not telling you wrong. I believe the drum brake cars, 63-67 used the 7/8ths master cylinder. The disc brake used 1 inch. NAPA should not have a problem supplying you with the correct kit if they know which system you have.
If you have disc brakes, without power, you should have the master cylinder with the large reservoir. Much larger than the '63/64.
I broke down the master cylinder and it has a 1" bore. NAPA must have been looking at 63, 64, and early 65 with drum brakes. They looked up a 66 and it had a 1" bore.
