It appears that there are two correct boots for 1960. the leather one is reported as being for the "early" cars and the rubber one for the late cars. Does anyone have more details on this? Is this true? Appox. when is the "break" point between early and late? Doc Glick

Re: There are NO correct boots for '60
Does this mean that none are made, that they don't exist? That they never exisited? Please clarify. By the way I would like very much to know the quality of the Paragon oil filter canister with the silk screening for a 1960. It looks good in the catalog, but we know how that goes. How good a repro is it? Anyone have one or see one. Doc- Top

Re: There are NO correct boots for '60
doc. i use paragon's silk screened canister and have always got full credit on judging field. as far as throw out fork boots or seals go, if you preefer the leather, they can be obtained from the classic chevy club & i think corv.cent also has them Danchuck (?sp) should also have them. I think the rubber variety can be substituted with a mid year rubber seal and although it fits the bell, its configuration isn't correct but they can be modified to appear similiar to C-1 rubber boot/seal.- Top

Doc-----
For some unknown reason, I don't think that clutch fork boots were used on any C1 Corvettes. They were used on passenger cars, though, and the passenger car boots will fit certain Corvette applications. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

dipstick: you may let your c1's feet get wet but i boot mine. seriously the c1s didnt have throw out fork boots or rubber seals. I was thinking of my 57 210 post i'm doing at present and it takes a leather boot that is a pisser to stretch the leather over the wire frame. sorry fellas. mike- Top
