C3 W/S solenoid switch

Hi Guys,
The reason I couldn't identify the location of the switch in my coupe was because there wasn't one in the car. Johnny numb nuts before me threw it out and bypassed the system by attaching the remaining two hoses and letting the connector hang in space. Now I can't seem to find one of them anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction? I don't have a switch to rebuild, so I need to purchase a new one.

The piece that you require is GM #5638276. It was discontinued quite a few years ago and is not reproduced. They are getting to be VERY difficult to find. You may be able to obtain a used example from Pacific Corvette (www.pacvette.com), Contemporary Corvette of Bristol, PA, or Paragon Vintage.

My switch was N/G so I bought a NOS from Dr. Rebuild. He only had a few left.

Thanx everbody.
I found one (w/s wiper solenoid) at Greenhoes corvette supply. They have 2 left if anyone needs one. Used, but tested. Excellent service, as well. Thanx for the info guys, especially the the part number from Joe and direction from Doc. Much appreciated.
