There's probably not much more to add to what's already been well stated already other than what variety of personal opinions might remain. I think it is fortunate that you found a seller that is willing to be up front with the engine block restamp and I suppose what's left is what he is asking in price for the car. Engine block restamping is a controversial issue and will probably always remain so. From my viewpoint, I would consider what the car would be worth as a non-original engine car and value that from there. If he is asking as much for the car as what it would be worth as an original engine car would be worth then I would consider my money better spent on one that truely is an original engine car. It would be far less of a hassle in that sense to have to deal with the controversy in the future, if it came time to sell. TBarr #24014
