Try your local yellow pages and/or talk to a local old timer machine shop. Water pump rebuild USED to be a local machine shop common task. But, due to reverse assy line economies, it's just not done that much any more.

In Denver, I know of three places that rebuild water pumps. If you tell 'em you want the original casting, hub, Etc. preserved for a show car application, it's no problem. I pay $25 for the rebuild (including parts) and it's solid. Have about 50K miles on one now without a hiccup.

So, you don't have to pay the Gross Domestic Product. But, you do have to shop and manage the job....
