    C3 Flywheel Dowel Pins

Putting back together a 73 with a 79 350. Flywheel did not have dowel pin installed into crank upon disassembly. Hole in crank is smaller than one in flywheel. Clutch is 11 inch. Would appreciate suggestions on how to resolve. IE: Drill it out and ream to 1/2"? What was standard? Any help would be appreciated.

    Bob-----

Your problem is easy to resolve. Most Chevrolet V-8s did not use crankshaft dowel pins. The exceptions were early 265/283s, 400 cid small blocks, and 454 big blocks. The 350 cid engines did not.
