C3 Header & Nosebar Bonding

I am working on a 79 where the front clip was gone when I got the car. I was able to get a used front clip,but the header bar has excessive rust. What adhesive should be used to attach the header and nosebar to the upper surround? Is bonding adhesive from Ecklers a suitable choice?

The car also had damage to the plenum panels, where the bonding adhesive goes and the upper surround meet. Can this be repaired with fiberglass? Just curious if the bondind adhesive will have any problem with the repaired fiberglass area.

John Just replaced one on a 72. I would use the smc bonding material on a 79, or you can use fusor product's that take a special gun. Make sure you get the bar in place on a dry run so your headlight will mount properly, once it is glued put a dobe of glue on the end's Far as inner part's smc liquid resin and mat will work fine or you can make bonding stip's and you use the bonding material. You can do it. john
