Hello all,
This is a little out of my normal 70-72 time frame...
Does anyone have a picture of bare fiberglass from a solid axle car, preferably something in the 58-62 era? I am especially interested in the appearance of the inside of the front and rear fenders, inner front fenders as well as the lower nose piece below the grille. Bonding strips would be important, too. You can feel free to e-mail me such if you have them.
If you otherwise know of a web page where someone has posted pictures during a restoration, that would be nice too.
I know the glass should be press molded and smooth. I'm just trying to find out "how smooth is smooth" after 40 years of use. And, at this point, a picture will likely be my best bet. I've seen pictures and cars with the nice smooth bottom of off-white. I've just not seen them of fenders and normally harder-to-see areas.
I'm trying to determine if some have been replaced on a car I saw for sale, but since Solid Axles aren't my "era of knowledge" I've come here for help.
Thanks,
Patrick
