Please advise a safe electrical source for an auxliary device on a stock 1963 Roadster. The origianl am/fm radio is seriously lacking by today's standards and I want to install a secondary stereo without the worry of turning the car into toast. The car does not have power windows and if 1963 has the same fuse block setup as the 1967 shown on the back cover of the Winter 2003 Corvette Restorer perhaps I could simply tap into the power window circuts. I'm trying to keep the car as stock as possible and want to be able to easily remove the entire aftermarket stereo system I've built for judging purposes. Thanks in advance. Eugene

Re: 1963 Auxiliary electrical source?
Radio? With the body solidly bolted to the frame, a mechanical lifter cam, and forged pistons fit at .0035" clearance, who needs a radio! You can listen to a radio in any car, not much else produces the visceral sound of a '63 Corvette.

I agree with Duke I don't listen to my radio very often. However There is a hot wire that you could use for your radio. If you don't have backup lights. In the engine compartment near the tach drive cable you should find a wire dead ended. I believe it's for the backup lights.- Top
