    Bell Housing and FlyWheel

    Hello,

I have recently replaced the bell housing and fly wheel from my 1962 Corvette to original. The bell housing and fly wheel that I took off are not from a 1962 Vette. Can anyone help me identify these items for me? The bell housing is aluminum and has a number of 6263756. The fly wheel has a number of 3791021. I would appreciate any information.

    Thank you,

    Ron

GM #6263756 is a bellhousing that was primarily used for 1973-77 Chevrolet trucks with V-8 engines. It was discontinued and replaced for PRODUCTION and SERVICE by bellhousing GM #460486 in December, 1977. This bellhousing was designed for use with a 14" flywheel.

Flywheel GM CASTING #3791021 is a 12-3/4" flywheel that was used for several applications, including 1963-68 Corvette with small block engines. It was known under several part numbers, including, but not limited to GM #3791022 and GM #366860.
