54 Engine Paint

The JG doesn't seem to specify if the engine stamp pad is to be painted or bare. I assume bare, but want to be sure. Also, does the dipstick get painted blue?

leave stamp pad bare. pretty sure the dipstick gets the blue/green engine paint but check Judging manual

Bob.....the complete engine was painted, including the dip stick, NRCS requires the pad to be clean to properly judge the stamping and borach marks...jer
