    C2 - Z06 Brake Pedal Rubber Pad

Your opinion, please. Would a 1963 Z06 optioned Corvette automobile be equipped with a brake pedal pad with or without the Power Brake designation? Thanks, Dennis

    Power Only

I have never seen that specific Kelsey-Hayes master cylinder, that was not mounted to a Moraine PB booster. Does that mean St Louis also used the usual PB rubber pedal pad with a PB logo - I cannot say so with specificity.

dipstick: my 28k mile ZO6 has Power brake rubber pad with enough wear on the right side of the pad that leads me to believe its the original. What'd you do, buy another ZO6?

Sheet 2.00 Sect Z06 of the '63 AIM contains the following note:

"Cylinder attaching parts, hose, brake pedal, cover hose clamps, tee & brace asm - dash same as RPO J-50.

There appears to be an obvious misplacement of a comma i.e. "...brake pedal, cover hose..." should be "...brake pedal cover, hose..."

Thanks Guys... I've been wondering about that issue since 1985. The only thing I did figure out is that they certainly didn't feel like power brakes.

              Hi Franz

My car has always had the Power Brake pedal designation from day one. Dennis the brakes are not hard after they are warmed up. I drive the first half mile with my foot lightly on the brakes to generated some heat. They work a lot better when warm.
