    Rich-----

The alternator part number which you've provided cannot be correct. Unfortunately, in this case, the last 3 digits are most important in determining what the original "residence" of the alternator was. If you can make them out better, I might be able to come up with something. Given that there are 1,000 possible combinations of the last 3 digits, it's tough for me to figure it out.

Re: Unknown Alternator- another for you Joe

Joe - Here's one that came out of my 67 (I put in an 1100750 dated correctly).... it is 1100843, 61A, 0A29, 12VNEG. It's a 10DN unit (at least that's what the back half was). I am assuming Jan 29, 1970 build date, but what is it for? Thx!....Craig

        Craig-----

Among possible other applications, the 1100843 alternator was used across the Chevrolet car line, except Corvette, for 1970-71 A/C applications.

Joe - forgot to ask, should this be a 10DN or 10SI alternator? I was thinking 70-71 was about the time the internal regulator versions came out...thx!...Craig

              It's a 10 SI-series.

Thx Joe....I thought it should be, so it was mis-assembled as a 10DN. They sure had a lot of innterchangeable parts on the 10 series alternators...thx, Craig

                  I double-checked and I was incorrect on my previous post. The "843" is a 10-DN series, NOT a 10-SI

Thx Joe, must have been in that transitional time where both types were used...Craig
