My new hood alignment bumpers have 3 raised ribs on them. Does anyone know which way they should be facing when installed? The assembly manual says where to put them and I can't even find them in the judging manual.
I see no one has jumped on this one, so I will give it a shot. No matter what the information on the AIM says, I have found that they were applied as needed in order to fit the hood. I use the term FIT very loosely. Some are layed flat, some on the edge and placed where ever. Some have a notch at the top edge to allow for the hood edge. You will see some with none and some with five or six.
I believe my 78 has four, two toward the windshield about 3-4 inches from the point at which the hood drops and the other two toward the hood hinges. I can verify once the day breaks.
