    C1 1957 Clock repair

My Clock in my 1957 has quit again. I have repaired a few years ago. The clock mechanism works fine, however the solenoid and point contacts are not working again. The points show some arc damage, but mostly it is not making contact when the clock winds down. Is there any adjustment feature for these points or am I winging it alone? I think an RC network will protect the points but I need to figure out the values. Would appreciate any help.

I probably won't be of much help here. I've had these clocks apart but it has been years ago. I would think that if there was an adjustment there would be a small screw head and it would be obvious. Have you moved the points by hand to see if the arm is catching on anything? Sounds like it is time to have new points and maybe a solonoid installed.

The best advise I have heard for longevity on these clocks is to unplug them except for when you are at a show.
