I own a NCRS judging manual. It states that the radio noise suppressor is attached to the coil support bracket. I am assuming that it goes under the long round headed screw that clamps the support bracket tight around the base of the coil but it doesn't fit well or look right. Is this correct? Also I am getting conflicting guidance from a couple of Corvette forum web sites about which pole on the coil that this wire (from the suppressor) gets connected to. Is it the positive or the negative side? It is not depicted in the assembly information manual or NCRS booklet I have. Thanks in advance sirs!

Re: Radio Noise Suppressor on Coil Support Bracket *TL*
Rick,
It would help to know the year of your Corvette. Assuming (you know what that does) it is a 1968-1972: The U69 accessory pages in the Assembly Instruction Manual will show you which terminal of the coil the condenser connects to. I wouldn't want to give an answer using my memory - that has proven faulty in the past.
The base of the condenser does not attach to the long screw. There is a small hole in a tab on the coil bracket. A small sheet metal screw holds the base of the condenser to the mounting bracket. I will have to go look at the car to give you the configuration of that screw. The illustration in the AIM will help you find the correct mounting position.
