Getting ready to glue a top surround onto a '63 Coupe.I'm trying to find an adhesive that will give me/us the biggest working time window. Also, any tips that might help.Have used Evercoat's 870 for smaller jobs with excellent results but it seems to go off fairly quickly. Thanks very much!

Re: Bonding Adhesive
Bob, it depends on what your surround is made of. If it's made of SMC, then I would reccomend Evercoat's SMC bonding adhesive. You can slow the kick off by refrigerating both the adhesive and the cream hardner. If the surround is FRP, then you could use the adhesive from The Corvette Image. The SMC adhesive works with both SMC and FRP.- Top

Re: Bonding Adhesive
Bob - you may want to give LORD corporations FUSOR line a try, these products are epoxy two part system, but with working characteristics similar to polyester based products. They have strength advantage, allow working time, and also bond dissimalar materials well....Craig- Top
